Friends School is a nonprofit, nonsectarian, family cooperative preschool and kindergarten in Louisville, Kentucky. Our mission is to provide experiential, noncompetitive, child-centered educational opportunities where individual differences are respected and celebrated.

We believe that the path to success for all of us begins in teaching tolerance, kindness and understanding as well as good citizenship and social values. We provide a nurturing, caring, and loving learning environment with a low adult to student ratio.

Parental involvement is what gives Friends School its unique family-like atmosphere. Family cooperatives and and all-volunteer board help us to sustain our long tradition of community-powered education.
