Our Programs

Kindergarten

Friends School's kindergarten offers a comprehensive curriculum rich in literature, mathematics, science, social studies, and the arts. Special area subjects include music, the visual and performing arts, Spanish, yoga, and conflict resolution. Classroom activities are supported by frequent field trips, and relevant and meaningful community service projects occur throughout the school year.

Our curriculum is inquiry-based which encourages children to begin taking ownership of their intellectual life. Unit studies focus on subject areas and skill development, while specific lessons are tailored to each child's interests, stage of development and learning style.

Graduates of Friends School's kindergarten program are successful in public, parochial and private schools.
