Friends School is a nonprofit, nonsectarian, family cooperative preschool, kindergarten, and first grade. Our mission is to provide experiential, noncompetitive, child-centered educational opportunities where individual differences are respected and celebrated, and where children with special needs are welcomed.
Dear Friends,
As we prepare our annual report, we are thrilled to report several major accomplishments. Over the 2005-2006 school year, Friends School:
. Earned accreditation through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) on June 30, 2005
. Provided educational and wrap-around services to 104 children ages 12 months through 6 years
. Provided special education services to 32 children, including language supports, sensory calming strategies, behavioral intervention plans, and specially designed instruction
. Hosted a successful summer camp program for 50 children, 20 of whom have identified special needs.
The following is an overview of Friends School's income and expenses for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2006.
Total Support and Revenue: $516,188
Program Expenses: $363,930
Management and General Expenses: $74,764
Fundraising Expenses: $19,789
